What Do We Look For?

Our core differentiating factor is our candidates and is not influenced by a core sector preference.

The type of role will reflect a focus to attract high achieving individuals: People who embrace and overcome challenging goals, can manage and implement change that impacts on critical factors such as market and revenue share, supply chain or operational efficiency, strategy or security.

These people combine a strong work ethic with a relentless drive and passion to succeed and will pull others along with them. They are, above all, leaders, creative and effective agents of change within a business, able to motivate and inspire. Their next move must be one that enables them to continue on an upward career trajectory that will ultimately benefit the people they work with, the market they serve or the organisation as whole.

Candidates will be placed in one of two ways:

  • The modus operandi will define an approach that is discussed in advance to the start of a client initiated search project or assignment.

  • Through Promoveo conducting a confidential search of companies and markets a candidate has considered. People in situations are often reluctant to speak to an external party when seeking a move, particularly when their desire to move has to be managed sensitively due to concerns over perception, peer pressure or personal factors. We are aware it is a big step for senior executives in today's increasingly competitive marketplace.

Our decision to work with individuals on a one to one basis is not undertaken lightly and will be based on the credibility, value and experience a candidate can contribute to a company and sector they have identified in consultation with us. As a rule of thumb, we expect our candidates to share some common characteristics such as:

At least ten years experience of successful career progression demonstrating a mix of skills and leadership abilities within their field.

Exposure to managing people, complex projects and/or significant budgets

High levels of practical intellect measured by knowledge and skills, not just by qualification

Bundles of self confidence and an assured approach to handling and managing increasing responsibilities
